Addis Ababa, Aug 21 (Prensa Latina) Political and social representatives from this continent and the Middle East have met in this capital to discuss international cooperation strategies for peace-building, official sources said today.
The event was sponsored by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), headquartered in this capital, and also considered the analysis of better educational mechanisms in the continent, as a safe path to stability and security for citizens, The Ethiopian Herald reported.
According to Dagmawit Moges, Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa’s municipal government, the education system is key in this regard, from primary to higher education, helping to promote harmony among new generations no matter their nationality, culture or religion.
According to the information released, at the meeting, the need for international law to generate stability in the regions and promote projects related to peace in societies was discussed.
Any family born in this era in any part of the world must become a messenger of equity and respect for others, ending the war and making stability a legacy for future generations,’ stressed a UNECA statement issued after the conclusion of the forum.
